Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is on track to expand its workforce significantly, with plans to onboard 40,000 freshers by March 2025. By September 2023, the company’s employee count reached 612,724, and it added more than 11,000 new associates in the first half of the fiscal year alone, reinforcing its commitment to business growth and talent acquisition.
Recruitment Push and Workforce Expansion
TCS has ramped up its hiring efforts in FY25, adding 5,726 employees in Q2, following 5,452 new hires in Q1. Despite a slight rise in attrition to 12.3% in Q2 of FY25, the rate remains lower than the 14.9% attrition reported in the same period the previous year.

TCS also posted solid financial results, with a 5% increase in net profit to Rs 11,909 crore and a 7.6% year-over-year rise in revenue to Rs 64,259 crore.
